Safety Team
Providing Safety, Building Comfort.

At Village Church, we believe worship flourishes when people feel safe and secure. Our Safety Team helps create that environment— as watchful eyes and caring presence. Their goal is to protect our congregation, support our children’s ministry, and ensure every person can focus on Jesus without distraction or concern. It’s about peace of mind —helping our church family worship in comfort and confidence.

Called to Help Create a Safe Space?

If you have a heart for watchfulness and protecting others, the Safety Team may be a great place to serve. It’s not about being a guard—it’s about being a presence that helps people feel comfortable and secure.

What Safety Team Members Do:

  • šŸš— Monitor the parking lot – Keep an eye on arrivals, ensuring guests and families feel safe from the moment they arrive.

  • šŸ  Watch the lobby & entryways – Provide a friendly but alert presence as people gather.

  • 🌳 Walk the exterior grounds – Maintain awareness of activity outside the building.

  • šŸ™ Support during worship – Quietly ensure safety for those in the sanctuary and children’s areas.

ā° When: The greatest need is before and after service, though coverage continues during the service itself. More team members means lighter responsibilities for everyone.
